Dance has been a primary way to celebrate life events in all cultures, past and present. This line of transfixed believers was inspired by a photo that I saw in the New York Times several years ago of a vase found in a dig in Iran (Ancient Persia). I created a stencil from the photo image and proceeded to ink and print. Many works in this series are made with a single figure as the stencil and I simply kept moving it around the page until the dance is over.
